Kiddo comprehends two units: One, the transmitter that is attached on the child. And another one, the receiver carried by an adult.
Kiddo has two monitoring contents:
- One, of short range, which warns parents when
the child steps away more than 6.5-13 feet (4 meters)
- One, of long range, which gives a warning signal
when the distance is superior to 13.12-26.25 feet (8 meters)
When the child steps away more than the desired range, Kiddo alerts the adult beeping (a sound signal) and blinking (a visual signal), allowing locating and bringing back the child in few seconds.
Kiddo is able to monitor up to 4 kids at the same time. It has different beeping sounds for each child.
Kiddo can be used in any place, including swimming pools and beaches and inside airplanes. The low frequency used does not cause any interference with other electronic equipments.

. - What do we need to do before using the equipment?
We recommend that you read the user manual very carefully before using the product. You'll find all you need to know about how your model works. But you can always contact us or one of our dealers if you have a problem. We shall be only too happy to help you.
. - Are there any risks in using this product?
The Kiddo has been developed with the greatest care being taken in the choice of materials. It has been subjected to all the tests recommended and required for this type of equipment, and complies with all the essential requirements in the R&TTE Directive, 1995/EC. This product is 100% safe, and presents absolutely no risk to health. Furthermore, the low frequency used means there is no interference from other electronic equipment, which ensures total safety and reliability for the consumer.. - What distance range should I choose for my child?
On the receiver (the unit kept by the adult), you can choose the distance your child is allowed to wander. There are two monitoring modules: a short distance, when the alarm is triggered if the child moves more than 6.5-13 feet away, and a longer distance, which warns you if he/she is more than 13.12-26.25 feet away. SMART TARGET recommends:- if you are in a fairly busy place, with visible obstacles like stairs, streets, cliffs and so on, the short distance is recommended;
- if your child has any characteristics (he/she may be hyperactive, restless, curious, etc.), the short distance is also recommended;
- but if you're in a more peaceful setting, with fewer people, less bustle and not many obstacles, then we suggest using the long distance.
. - How do I attach the transmitter to my child?
The transmitter should be attached so that it is hard to remove. The Kiddo is equipped with a special bracelet, and it is up to the adult to decide the most practical and secure way to do it, depending on what the child is wearing. SMART TARGET recommends that you use the snap hook to fix the transmitter to an item of the child's clothing.. - What is the Kiddo for?
The Kiddo is a proximity alarm that warns parents that their child(ren) has/have wandered too far away. It has two parts: a transmitter , which is attached to the child, and a receiver, which is carried by an adult. Adults can choose the safety distance they want for the child, and whenever the child goes further than this, it triggers a sound and visual alarm on the unit carried by the adult, thereby preventing the child from getting lost, being involved in a mishap or even snatched. The Kiddo could be the perfect ally in preventing these occurrences: it might actually make all the difference.
